Excellence and endeavour celebrated at NW Business Masters 2013

THE 2013 North West Business Masters showcased the best of the region’s business community as innovation, manufacturing, outstanding leadership, vision and good citizenship and resilience were celebrated.

Cutting-edge SMEs like North West Innovator Hiring-Hub.com rubbed shoulders with industrial giants such as Jaguar Land Rover Halewood and Glen Dimplex Home Appliances.

The two Merseyside-based companies took the prestigious North West Manufacturer and North West Exporter awards respectively, while fast-growing sweet brand Goody Good Stuff was a deserved winner in the North West Newcomer category.

The Co-operative Group’s out-going chief executive Peter Marks, who retires in a few weeks after more than 40 years with the co-operartive movement, spoke passionately about how, in his opinion, there is “no such thing as failure in business” as he accepted his award for North West Ambassador.

Leading lawyer and charity campaigner Maurice Watkins dedicated his North West Pride award to the thousands of individuals who supported him in his fundraising endeavours with a range of good causes.
