Finalists announced for Salford Business Awards

A SOCIAL video games developer, a laser clinic and a theatre group are amongst the companies to have been shortlisted for this year’s Salford Business Awards.
The awards, organised by Salford City Council, University of Salford and The Business Group, were established six years ago to recognise the success of local businesses.
The eight awards cover a wide range of categories including international trade, innovation and entrepreneurship.
BAFTA award winning journalist Elaine Wilcox will announce the winners on May 23, from Salford City Stadium, whilst Stephanie McGovern, BBC business breakfast correspondent, has been confirmed as the event speaker.
Paul Wainwright, chair of The Business Group, said: “We’ve had lots of new applications this year which is great to see and once again the range of shortlisted entrants represents the magnificent spectrum of businesses in Salford. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of all our finalists on the 23rd May.”
