Hurstwood buys Wigan retail park

MANCHESTER property group Hurstwood has bought the Wharf Mill retail development in Wigan through its Crystal subsidiary.

Wharf Mill has three retail units, totalling 16,000 sq ft, on Caroline Street, just outside the town centre.

One unit is occupied by Bathstore.com but the other two are vacant. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Hurstwood’s managing director Andy Park said: “We are delighted to have secured Wharf Mill as the latest addition to our commercial property portfolio. We are always on the lookout for new acquisitions and we think this one has a lot of potential.

“We are confident of bringing more major retailers to the area in the near future.”
