Bumper quarter for disruptive recruiter Hiring-Hub.com

AWARD-winning online recruitment marketplace Hiring-Hub.com has reported triple-digit growth during the first quarter of 2013.

The Manchester company, winner of the North West Innovator award at TheBusinessDesk.com’s North West Masters 2013, saw month-on-month revenue leap 260% in the first three months of the year.

Backed by Yorkshire-based investor John Laithwaite Partners, the fast-growing firm’s client base includes local companies UKFast, Bruntwood and TBWA Manchester, as well as national brands including Dyson, Innocent Drinks, Giraffe Restaurants and payday lender Wonga.

Led by founders Simon Swan, 32, and Sara Jones, 28, Hiring-Hub is ahead of its target to turnover £1.4m this year. Its goal is to grow to £4.7m in 2014 and £10m before the end of 2015.

The website has more than 600 employer users accessing 1,000 approved recruitment agencies across all sectors, nationwide.

Mr Swan said: “Business has been brisk as more and more companies become familiar with our online marketplace model, which takes all the pain and hassle from recruiting.

“We believe recruitment is broken, and we’re on a mission to put trust and transparency back into the industry.”

Hiring-Hub.com lets employers upload their vacancy and state how much they are willing to pay a recruitment agency. The vacancy is broadcast anonymously to Hiring-Hub.com’s network of recruitment agencies.

Employers benefit by receiving fewer cold calls from agencies, access to thousands of recruitment agencies and millions of candidates through a single point of contact, and greater control of their recruitment budget.

The recruiters meanwhile gain access to a regular flow of qualified vacancies. Hiring-Hub.com earns its revenues by deducting a 25% commission from the fixed placement fee upon a successful transaction.
