Finalists will be judged on their entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, strategic direction, leading and building teams, financial performance, national and global impact, and their individual and/or corporate social responsibility.

Stuart Watson, UK Entrepreneur of the Year leader at Ernst & Young, said: “The quality of the North judging panel is exceptional; they are entrepreneurs in their own right. Entrepreneur of the Year is more than just an awards programme, it brings together the most inspiring, experienced and forward thinking business leaders in our region.”

Regional winners from Scotland, North, Midlands, London and South will go on to vie for the title Ernst & Young’s UK Overall Entrepreneur Of The Year 2013 and a chance to represent their country at a global awards ceremony in Monte Carlo next year.
