Young entrepreneur Reilly takes flight

THE UK’s newest airline, Liverpool-based JetXtra.com, has launched two new weekly destinations from Humberside Airport to meet increased customer demand.

JetXtra.com was launched last year by 26-year-old director Daniel Reilly, who spotted a gap in the flight market after working in the travel industry for eight years. He secured backing from UK tour operator Worldchoice Sports.

Mr Reilly said: “It is an incredibly competitive market but we have had a great first year and we are now underpinning that success with the launch of the new flight services in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire that will offer more choice to those who want real value for money flights and holidays but with no hidden fees.

“We aspire to the different from ‘the other guys’ and I think we are achieving that. We are all about customer service and we know people are fed up of seeing low headline-grabbing fares which just seem to mount up.”

The new flights are heading off to the Spanish tourist hotspots, Alicante and Majorca and will be on board a Boeing 717 with 125-seat capacity. The flights are ATOL-protected and customers don’t have to pay extra to take luggage or to reserve a seat.
