Fee income up 9% at SAS Daniels

CHESHIRE law firm SAS Daniels has announced a 9% growth in turnover to £6.4m for the year to the end of April.
The firm, which has offices in Stockport, Macclesfield, Chester and Congleton, said profits rose 8% in the same period, but did not disclose the figure.
The fastest-growing department was commercial litigation, which grew fee income 60%. Residential real estate increased by 30%, while corporate billings rose15% as the firm advising on 30 deals including BiG Storage’s £11m refinancing.
The firm, which has 62 legal advisers, including 26 partners, across its four offices said it had broken its record for monthly fee billing three times over the year.
Chief operating officer Andrew Perry said “We offer an attractive, effective alternative to more expensive city centre firms, and the work we are doing, and the growth we have experienced, shows that belief is shared with our expanding client base.
“We believe that this rate of growth will continue into next year, and we expect to have more record-breaking fee billing months in the near future. The coming year will be another challenging one for businesses, but we believe our offering and our people will continue to deliver for our clients.”
SAS Daniels recently promoted three lawyers, Karen Barker, Bik-ki Irving and Nicola McInnes to partner.
