Supermarket chain Booths goes digital

BOOTHS, the Lancashire-based supermarket group, has launched an interactive loyalty card and App for its customers.

The 165-year-old Preston-based company, still owned by members of the founding Booth family, says its Booths Card will strengthen its relationships with customer at its 29 stores.

The Booths Card allows shoppers to track their spending by keeping their receipts in an electronic account.

It coincides with the launch of a new mobile App for iPhones and iPads, which allows customers to access their account on the move, and a new website to support the system.

Customers can also use both the app and website to view receipts electronically and analyse their spend. They can view the latest offers, find seasonal products, view supplier profiles and interviews, browse the recipe catalogue and add ingredients to their electronic shopping list with the touch of a button.

Marketing manager Danny Martin said; “Giving customers a first rate and enjoyable shopping experience is of the utmost importance to us and we are constantly looking at ways to do things differently and improve the Booths experience.

“Our customers share our passion for quality food and drink and The Booths Card scheme and mobile app will help customers to manage their spend whilst also learning new food skills and recipes which will enable them get the most pleasure from their shop. The response from customers has been really overwhelming and exceeded our expectations. We are printing cards daily to keep up with demand.”
