THE former premises of Liverpool women’s fashion store Solitaire has been sold to Adapt Outdoors for an undisclosed sum.

The 7,172 sq ft shop over three floors in Williamson Street, off Church Street, was put on the market in September for £495,000.

Adapt Outdoors, based nearby, said the acquisition would allow it to expand its outdoor pursuits and equipment business operation.

The building was sold by the Manchester office of property consultants Sanderson Weatherall on behalf of the liquidator of Solitaire (Liverpool) Limited, P&A Partnership.

Rory Dillon, surveyor at Sanderson Weatherall, said: “I am really pleased that this well run, local family business is able to expand its operations into a high quality unit. With new occupiers including Dawson’s Music and Adapt Outdoors, moving onto the street, this will further improve the retail offer and pedestrian foot flow along Williamson Street.”
