Wigan’s finest urged to enter awards

THE Wigan Business Awards are now open to nominations.

There are 10 categories including: Business of the Year, Small or Medium Enterprise of the Year, Independent Retail Business of the Year, and Exporter of the Year.

Businesses based in the borough have until Monday September 2 to submit their entries. The awards, organised by the Greater Manchester Chamber, will be held at the DW Stadium on November 15.

Miranda Barker, Wigan president of Greater Manchester Chamber, said: “Over the years, the Wigan Business Awards have consistently highlighted how wonderfully diverse and successful our business community is.

“They go from strength-to-strength and each year the judging process gets more and more difficult. The quality and variety of entries we receive is phenomenal, showcasing the impressive work taking place in our borough.”
