Bion aims to shake-up legal PR

MANCHESTER-based public relations man Bob Bion has launched an online PR service for law firms.

Legalnewsservice.co.uk (LNS) provides press release templates with the aim of creating statements with all the required information for a news story.

Releases are generated automatically and media distribution lists are provided. The service also generates a press coverage report.

Mr Bion, who runs the PR firm 24/7, said: “We believe LNS will redefine the way in which law firms conduct their public relations activity. It is a real game changer.

“There’s little doubt that the future belongs to law firms that utilise technology to provide a client experience that is both low cost and high quality, supported by specialist expertise where necessary. With LNS, we have taken this principle and applied it directly to legal public relations.”

He added: “For the larger firms, right up to the Magic Circle, it will be relevant for specific areas of their practice – it would be naïve to suggest it can fulfil all their requirements. We are not pitching it at a strategic level or attempting to compete on that level with specialist PR agencies.  
      
“For a mid-size and specialist firms, LNS could well fulfil the majority of their requirements in terms of issuing press releases but there’s more to PR than simply generating news and again we are not attempting to compete on a strategic level with specialist agencies.”
