Cumbrian heating firm seals growth cash

A CUMBRIAN heating and plumbing supplies has pumped-up its growth palns after securing a financial boost.
Carlisle small business Tailored Heating Supplies, which was launched a year ago, has secured £40,000 funding from Access to Finance to expand its sales team and improve its IT system.
THS offers a wide range of services across the heating sector and has a team of in-house industry experts who work closely with installers through design, specification, installation and handover. Projects range from small conservatories to private developments through to hospitals, schools and care homes.
The North West Access to Finance (A2F) team, which is part of the Manchester Business Growth Hub organisation, worked with Tailored Heating’s managing director John Trenell after the company was referred to them by the NatWest bank in Penrith.
Mr Trenell said: “This investment comes at a great time for us. Having established itself over the last 12 months, Tailored Heating Supplies is finding that the service it offers has been well received from the trade and all it needs to develop in a consistent manner is face-to-face contact.”
Access to Finance adviser Maria Ramsdale said: “Tailored Heating Supplies is a classic example of how A2F can help businesses. John and the team knew exactly what they needed to do to grow and how that would help them build their business strategy for the long term.”
The Access To Finance (A2F) service offers free and impartial advice and investment-readiness support to businesses across the region that need to raise finance. It receives its funding from the European Regional Development Fund, has a team of experienced and credible specialist advisors that work with new and established SMEs to help them grow.
