K3 lands English Heritage order

BUSINESS software provider K3 has won a contract worth £2.3m with English Heritage.

English Heritage, the public body responsible for managing the country’s historic buildings and monuments, has ordered K3’s Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 retail software solution.

The system will be implemented across English Heritage’s head office and 100 sites, and will cover point of sale (PoS), inventory management, merchandising, warehousing and distribution and will link to their existing financial systems.

Around 11 million visitors per year pass through English Heritage’s sites and the new system will significantly enhance all aspects of the organisation’s commercial, operational and financial management.

Andy Makeham, chief executive of Salford Quays-based K3 said: “Commercial activities have become increasingly important to English Heritage and K3’s multi-channel retail offering, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, will bring significant benefits here, as well as in English Heritage’s operations and financial management.”
