Colliers advises Giggs and Neville

THE hotels team at property agent Colliers International has provided valuation advice for Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs who have launched a hospitality venture.

The former Manchester United team mates have set up GG Hospitality which will run a hotel next to Old Trafford, due for completion next year, and a football-themed cafe at the Westfield shoping centre in Straford, east London.

According to Caterer and Hotelkeeper the business has also taken an investment from two Singaporean businessmen, Kiam Ho and Andy Yun.

Gary Neville first won approval for the 138-bed Hotel Football in May 2012. At that stage he was in a joint venture with the Old Trafford Supporters’ Club – one of a number of independent fans’ organisations.

David Hossack, head of UK hotels valuations at Colliers International, said: “This is a unique and exciting hotel concept situated directly adjacent to Manchester United’s Old Trafford football stadium with, in addition to the 138 letting bedrooms, extensive public areas and a five-a-side football pitch/terrace on the roof.”

Stuart Procter, the former general manager of London’s Stafford hotel, has been hired as managing director of GG Hospitality, while two star Michelin chef Michael Wignall is overseeing the food and drinks across the two brands.
