MCCANN Manchester has been appointed by leading electronics component distributor Farnell element14 to deliver a pan-European communications brief.

Farnell element14 is a distributor of electronic and industrial products. The company is part of Leeds-based Premier Farnell which is quoted on the London Stock Exchange.

McCann Manchester has worked with Farnell element14 on a project basis over the past 16 months. Following the new appointment McCann will develop and deliver an integrated communications strategy with a specific focus on customer loyalty and retention.

Farnell European sales and marketing director Alan Paterson said: “Over the past twelve months the McCann team has demonstrated an incisive grasp of our business and market and has been able to translate that insight into programmes and campaigns that are driving hard business results for us. We believe this ability coupled with their global network will enable us to drive success at scale on an international basis.”

STOCKPORT-based APS Group has managed the print requirements for online sports retailer Kitbag and its recent launch of Manchester City FC’s new kit.

APS produced promotional literature for the launch featuring images of the new strip and accompanying logo and providing information for fans about the football club.

Russ Adamson, sales account manager at APS, said: “We have really enjoyed working with Kitbag to produce a high-quality, informative piece of literature for the launch of Manchester City’s new kit.

“Kitbag’s launch was the perfect example of the kind of exciting, fast-paced project that we thrive on at APS and we look forward to collaborating with them on future projects.”

MANCHESTER interior design and branding studio NoChintz has completed a number of projects.

Existing client Natural Retreats has retained the business to design a further two of its luxury self-catering eco resorts in the US following the delivery of the interior design of its John O’Groats and Yorkshire Dales resorts this year.

The company has also been appointed to design the new Cross and Corner bar in Edinburgh on behalf of client The Shilling Group and the design of Manchester’s Teacup Bakery at the newly refurnished Town Hall, whish is due to open later this year.

Creative director Lucy Goddard said: “Natural Retreats has been our biggest client in the past year and to work on their unique product is an honour; to have been appointed to do more with them as they expand their offering across the Atlantic is testament to the work we do.”
