Lettings latest: Deeside Industrial Estate; Fairhills Business Park, and more

ECONPRO WDS, which makes materials for the road building industry from recycled polymers, has taken an 18,200 sq ft unit at Zone 1 of Deeside Industrial Estate, near Flint.
The company has agreed a five-year lease with the Liverpool office of CBRE, acting for landlord F&C REIT Asset Management.
Darren Hill of CBRE said: “Zone 1 provides for good quality industrial space at competitive rents and we are able to accommodate requirements from
3,000 sq ft up to 18,000 sq ft as well as external storage.
“Our client’s approach centres around working with occupiers to accommodate their needs and we are able to offer space on both short term flexible terms or, as with the letting to Econpro, longer length leases.”
Legat Owen was the joint letting agent.

HARDWARE supplier Scewfix has opened a new branch in Irlam after securing a 4,852 sq ft unit at Orbit Development’s Fairhills Business Park.
It already has outlets in Trafford Park, Manchester and Stockport.
Dean Richards, leasing surveyor at Orbit, said: “This decision is further evidence to the growing profile of Irlam as a trade counter location. After initially having four vacant units and subsequently refurbishing them, we now only have two available units to let. We anticipate interest from other National trade counter operators now that Screwfix are in occupation.”
Knight Frank acted on behalf of Orbit Developments while Screwfix was represented by Colliers International.

MANCHESTER Pride, the fundraising charity behind the Big Weekend – Manchester’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) festival – is relocating to Bruntwood’s Manchester One on Portland Street, pictured.
Previously located in the Northern Quarter, the charity which raises funds for LGBT and HIV community groups, will now be on the doorstep of the festival’s home which centres around Manchester’s Gay Village.
John Stewart, chief executive of Manchester Pride, said: “The support from Bruntwood has been fantastic. Last year they supported us with a temporary office in Manchester One over the Big Weekend. The space proved to be so successful that we decided to work with them to make it our permanent home. The building is perfect for our needs, not only because its central location and proximity to the Village but also the quality of the fit-out has created a better working environment for us.”

LANGTREE Group has let space for a new gym at Gateway 49 Trade Park on Kerfoot Street.
Bodyactive, an existing tenant at the park which sells sports supplements and equipment, has opened Primal Gym.
Co-owner Paul O’Brien said: “We decided to open Primal Gym as there are many people in the area, including local rugby teams, who wanted a
training centre which offered more than the conventional equipment used by commercial gyms. Usually centres such as this are reserved for athletes but we
are pleased to be able to offer this level of equipment and training to the public.”
