Planning granted for derelict Corporation Road site
PLANNING for the residential redevelopment of a disused site on Corporation Road in Audenshaw, previously the Hawthorns Special School, has been given the go-ahead.
Sitting in a residential area the proposed 90 dwellings include 54 two, three and four bed family houses and 36 one bed apartments.
The development has been designed by Pozzoni Architects and Tameside Planning department has been consulted from the early stages of the design process advising on development mix, building siting, orientation and materials.
Work is set to get underway later this year or early next subject to the chosen contractor being in a position to start.
