Lettings latest: Pre-lets at Silk Street; Bruntwood & more

WILSON Bowden has secured two more pre-lets at its £90m Silk Street scheme in Macclesfield town centre.

Italian restaurant chain Prezzo will take a 3,740 sq ft unit, while Frankie & Benny’s New York-style restaurant and bar will be in a 4,000 sq ft unit.

Planning consent was granted in June for the 200,000 sq ft scheme which includes a Debenhams store, 19 high street shops, a Cineworld cinema, restaurants and a multi-storey car park. The development covers an area from Exchange Street to Park Lane, bounded by Mill Street, Water Street and Churchill Way.

Will Robinson, retail director at Wilson Bowden Developments said: “We are delighted to have signed Prezzo and Frankie & Benny’s to Silk Street. The

development offers larger format units to meet the needs of national retailers. With a strong demographic, Silk Street as a location in Macclesfield, Cheshire, is an attractive proposition for national retailers.”
