Sir Howard toasts Jerrold’s growth at new HQ launch

LENDER Jerrold Holdings has celebrated the official launch if its new headquarters in Cheadle.
The secured loan provider, which trades under the brands Blemain Finance, Cheshire Mortgage Corporation, Lancashire Mortgage Corporation, Auction Finance and Bridging Finance, moved to its new 50,000 sq ft home at Lake View, Cheadle Royal Business Park, having out-grown its former base in Manchester city centre.
Jerrold, which is part-owned by private equity firm Equistone, grew from 25 staff to 340 over the 20 years it was based at Bracken House, Charles Street.
The move gives Jerrold 60% more space than previously.
Commercial director Marc Goldberg said: “These new headquarters give Jerrold Holdings a solid platform for its continued success and growth.
“As we continue to expand, recruit more staff and do more business, we now have a home that can accommodate our ambition and reflects the stature of the group and its lending brands.
At the official opening Manchester city council chief executive Sir Howard Bernstein praised the growth of the business, which next year will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
He said: “The group has continued to invest and create jobs throughout the economic downturn and is an important part of the region’s thriving financial services sector.
“These new headquarters are another important milestone in the group’s development and I am sure that Jerrold’s success story will continue for many more years to come.”
