Apprentices celebrated at awards
APPRENTICES serving at the Co-operative Group, BAE Systems and Sellafield were among the winners at the regional final of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2013.
The awards, now in their 10th year, celebrate the achievements of the country’s most outstanding apprentices and apprenticeship employers.
The awards attracted 1,600 entries with the region’s winners now going through to a final judging stage. National winners will be announced at the NEC in Birmingham on November 14.
Sue Price, divisional area director for the National Apprenticeship Service in the North, said: “The two North West regional finals were fantastic evenings of celebration, and a brilliant opportunity to recognise the high calibre of apprentices and employers in our region. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the winners from the North West and wish them continued success in the future.
“Apprenticeships allow employers to grow their own talent, whilst enabling apprentices to earn while they learn and build a real career and a bright future. All our finalists are testament to this.”
