Bennett Verby boosts international capability

NORTH West accountants and business adviser Bennett Verby has launched an international team to help an increasing number of clients looking to tap into overseas markets.
 
Stockport-based Bennett Verby, which is currently helping more than 50 North West companies with their international ambitions, decided to launch the dedicated service after a surge in demand.

The fim has also joined 2020 International – a network of accountancy firms – which will help clients get the best local advice on taxes, customs and laws in foreign regions.
 
Chief executive Bernard Verby said the firm had been helping businesses expand internationally for more than 20 years but growing demand, particularly among manufacturers, has prompted it to launch a specific division to focus on clients’ needs.
 
He said: “The region’s manufacturing industry is performing extremely well and the UK is internationally renowned for its technical expertise and quality. Many manufacturers are seeing demand for their products and machines soaring across global markets.
 
“One of our clients recently received an order from the States that will more than double its turnover.
 
“We have helped clients with both tax and commercial advice and also deciding which locations to be based. For example, if you want to expand in America you really need a permanent base over there with local employees. We offer a true commercial hand holding service so our clients don’t feel like they are going into the unknown alone.”
