Appointments: Kingsland Wine & Spirits; Hurst; Myerson & more

IRLAM-based Kingsland Wines & Spirits has strengthened its management team with two new hires.
Ed Baker and Paul Braydon have joined the business as finance director and wine buyer, respectively.
Mr Baker, the former FD and chief operating officer at Warrington’s G&J Greenall, the independent gin and vodka producer, becomes Kingsland’s first finance director.
Managing director Andy Sagar said: “The new appointments are important to the sustainable growth and development of our business. Both Ed and Paul bring significant drinks sector experience, great ambition, and a broad commercial knowledge which will be of major benefit to Kingsland.”

ANTHONY Woodings, a partner at Hurst has been elected to represent Manchester on the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales council.
Mr Woodings, 49, is a business services partner at the Stockport and Manchester firm and is responsible for its graduate recruitment programme.
The Manchester district society of the ICAEW has more than 5,000 members.
Alan Hyams, a business performance coach who was president of Manchester Chartered Accountants in 2005/06, has been elected alongside Anthony to represent the district on the ICAEW council.

ALTRINCHAM commercial law firm Myerson has appointed its ninth and tenth partners with the promotions of Andrew Brown and Joanne Henderson.
Mr Brown is an experienced corporate commercial lawyer and joined last year from Linder Myers.
Miss Hnderson is an employment lawyer and joined the firm in 2009 from Eversheds. She has extensive expertise in acting for both employers and individuals and specialises in employment group action matters.
Myerson managing partner Carl Newton said: “The commitment and experience of lawyers like Andrew and Jo has propelled the firm forward. Annual turnover has increased by 38% over the last year and the firm is very busy in all departments.”

LAW firm TLT has appointed Dan Sweeney as a real estate partner at its new Manchester office.
Mr Sweeney, who joins from Hill Dickinson, specialises in the retail sector.
