STEPHENSONS Solicitors said it is seeing an increase in demand for its housing law services.

The housing team acts for Legal Aid cases such as landlords seeking possession of a home, or refusing to repair a house and challenging local authorities on homelessness.

The latest member of the team to become a qualified solicitor is Kate Hancock. Working from the St Helens office she will be helping tenants defend possession proceedings, injunction applications and committal applications.  

She said: “I feel proud to qualify as a Solicitor at Stephensons. I am pleased to be continuing my career in a growing team, which has such in depth knowledge of housing law. I look forward to working with clients to assist them with their legal issues.”

BIRKENHEAD-based personal injury solicitor Camps has launched a new brand called Your Legal Friend.

The firm said Your Legal Friend will provide “expert and compassionate” legal advice to personal injury victims.

CHESHIRE-based Blackstone Solicitors has just celebrated its third anniversary.  

Set up by Emma Nawaz in 2010 the business now has a team of six and is ooking to recruit more.   

The Hale firm, which specialises in dispute resolution, expects to hit a turnover of £1m within three years.
