Omega Sky ties-up Turizmo deal

OMEGA Sky, the ambitious Lancashire e-commerce company, has signed a licensing deal with Turizmo Studious, the developer of a robot toy concept.

The small business, which trade as wallsauce.com , will use an  array of Turizmo imagery for its eye-catching, high quality murals.

Turizmo was founded by Manchester-based couple, David and Sarah Ravenscroft and is a challenger to the internationally-popular Transformers toys.

The brand has signed licensing deals itself with more than 30 of the world’s largest vehicle manufacturers, including Subaru, Toyota, KIA, Hyundai and Koenigsegg.

Commenting on the partnership, David Ravenscroft said “We are extremely pleased to be working with Omega Sky and see their Wallsauce.com platform as a great showcase for our characters. With their “create your own” function, customers will be able to totally bespoke scenes incorporating their favourites.

“There will also be an augmented reality element, bringing the characters to life when an enabled tablet device is pointed at them.”

The Turizmo deal follows hot on the heels of several others Omega Sky have secured in recent months, including Batman, Harry Potter, Star Trek and The Hobbitt.

Colin Watson, Omega Sky’s commercial director said: “The opportunity to partner with Turizmo is fantastic for us. David and Sarah have created an incredible set of characters which will look amazing as large format pieces of wall art.

“And the augmented reality possibilities are almost limitless. We definitely see AR as key to our strategic development over the next few years.”

Omega Sky has recently agreed a deal to move to new offices at Manor Court, Ribchester the Ribble Valley, allowing it to grow its team to 15 over the next few years.

The Manor Court complex is owned by Lancashire manufacturing entrepreneur Colin Mustoe, founder and chairman of furniture company Senator International.

Mr Mustoe said: “We are extremely keen to welcome young, innovative and creative companies like wallsauce.com to Manor Court so they can make use of our state of the art communications and our beautiful, inspiring surroundings.”
