Just Costs set for record year

A LEGAL services provider is on track for a record year with turnover set to break £5m for the first time.
Just Costs Solicitors, which was founded in 2006 by former Eversheds partner and legal costs specialist Paul Shenton, serves 300 law firms and employs 88 people across its offices in Manchester, London and Chesterfield.
Turnover at Just Costs was £4.9m in 2012 and is expected to grow to £5.4m this year after receiving 5,000 new instructions.
In January it became the first legal services provider focused on costs to be granted Alternative Business Structure status.
Mr Shenton, a dual-qualified solicitor and barrister, said: “2013 is turning into our best ever year.
“To receive 5,000 new instructions by the end of September represents our strongest performance yet. The high volumes are as a result of increased levels of business from long standing clients and instructions from a wide range of new clients we have attracted to the business.”
Since launch Just Costs, which has its head office on King Street, has recovered £250m in costs for its clients.
