Contractor fits out Aegon’s northern HQ

FIT-OUT contractor Morris & Spottiswood has completed a £6m fit-out for financial advisory company Aegon UK at its north of England HQ in Lytham St Annes.

The firm has completed a 59-week project involving 24 hour working to fully refurbish five separate office blocks with a total floor area of 121,415 sq ft.

Work was carried out over phases as some of the buildings remained occupied and involved a full strip- out and reconfiguration of floor plates and office areas.

Morris & Spottiswood’s business unit director, Tony Cahill said: “This was significant project for Aegon and we were thrilled to have been selected to deliver such a complex scheme. Aegon, which is one of the world’s largest providers of pensions, life insurance and investment products, employs around 4,450 people in the UK.
