CONSTRUCTION group Seddon, which has its national head office in Bolton, has appointed Phil Burgess as head of business development and marketing.

Burgess joins Seddon from Willmott Dixon where he was company sales and marketing manager.

In his new role, he will drive new business development nationally for Seddon, securing opportunities with existing and new clients and developing new markets.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining Seddon at such an exciting time and look forward to working with the Seddon family and the directors to develop new opportunities while drawing on the firm’s traditional strengths.

“Despite the challenges faced by the construction sector over the past few years, Seddon has both retained its traditional family values and at the same time, planned for the future, leaving the company in a superb position to continue to grow in a recovering market.”
