Playtech’s Italian job

GAMES software developer Playtech has signed its third licence deal with an Italian company.
The deal with Sisal for its poker software comes after similar agreements with Snai and Gala-Coral’s Eurobet Italia following the relaxation of gaming laws in Italy.Under the terms of the license agreement, Playtech, which is based in the Isle of Man, will provide Sisal with its entire portfolio of market poker games in tournament form which have been designed to appeal to the tastes of Italian players.
Mor Weizer, chief executive officer of Playtech, said: “We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with Sisal. The group’s technology and its strategy of focusing on newly regulated markets, such as Italy, have enabled Playtech to sign these licensee agreements with these leading Italian operators.
“It is clear that the Italian poker network is gaining an even more prominent position in the market with the group becoming a significant player.”
