Bury law firm Clough & Willis has launched a new private client department.
The team, headed by Richard Phillips, will focus on wealth and succession planning and inheritance tax advice.
It will also handle trust creation and administration, wills, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration.
Mr Phillips has previously worked at Cobbetts and DWF in Manchester and Nelson & Co in Leeds.
He is being joined by Emma McGrath and Ciara Hannawin, graduates of Queen’s University, Belfast and Chester College of Law respectively.
The firm’s managing partner Shefali Talukdar said: “The last year has been a really exciting time for the practice – especially in terms of growth and our own evolution. We’re all excited about the new division’s launch and it’s great to see the team is already adding real value to our broad client base.”
Mr Phillips added: “I’m looking forward to the challenge of my new role immensely. The next year is set to be a very exciting period for both the private client team and the practice as a whole.”
