DWF and GT’s success Route

PROFESSIONALS from law firm DWF and Grant Thornton advised the shareholders of Manchester aviation specilaist Route Development Group on its recent £9.3m sale to a subsidiary of the United Business Media group.

Founded in 1995, RDG operates a global series of must-attend aviation route development and network planning events, as well as a supporting consultancy business from its headquarters in Manchester.

RDG’s flagship event, Routes – The World Route Development Forum – is an industry-leading, must-attend networking event at which airlines, airports, suppliers and industry experts meet to generate and develop new aviation routes worldwide.

DWF’s Manchester team provided corporate, commercial, real estate, pensions, commercial litigation, banking and employment law advice to the shareholders of RDG. 

Peter Allen, corporate finance partner at DWF in Manchester led the team, which alos included James Cowell, Vicky Barker, Gareth Roberts and real estate associate Anita Gargye.

Grant Thornton in Manchester provided corporate finance and tax advice on the sale.
