Sudlows wins £12m of data centre contracts

MANCHESTER electrical contractor Sudlows has won £12m worth of data centre contracts.

The 101-year-old company has positioned itself as an IT infrastructure specialist Sudlows, has won work from water companies, retailers and financial institutions to deliver a series of new data centre builds and upgrades to existing data centre operations.

Director Andy Hirst said: “Energy efficiency and resilience are the cornerstones of every data centre and our customers are looking to invest in the best technology to ensure their facilities operate to the highest levels.

“With so many clients around the UK seeing growth in the economy they are all experiencing expansion and as part of this process Sudlows is central to building the digital platform to support this new development.”

The new orders follow Sudlows’ appointment to an NHS IT framework in August. Other public sector clients include Transport for London, while the compamy has also worked for the Co-operative Group, United Utilities and Rochdale-based Zen Internet.
