Capital & Centric to spec 100,000 sq ft in Rochdale

MANCHESTER property developer Capital & Centric and Barnfield Construction are working up plans for a 100,000 sq ft unit at Crown Business Park near Rochdale.
In the past 18 months the joint venture has completed two speculative units at the scheme of 35,000 sq ft and 30,000 sq ft.
It is also close to finalising a design and build agreement of a 20,000 sq ft office and warehouse unit, along with 15,000 sq ft of incubator business units.
Tracy Clavell Bate of Barnfield Construction said: “We’re keen to keep building on site, the demand seems to be there so that gives the joint venture the comfort to press on.”
Occupiers who have signed up in recent months include British Gas, Wynsors World of Shoes, Floors 2 Go and Rutledge Integrated Systems.
The developers acquired the 18-acre site in 2009 from Fortis Bank. Letting agents are Nolan Redshaw and Jones Lang LaSalle.
