Breakdown but no recovery for Manchester Commercials

TRUCK and bus repair business Manchester Commercials has closed after falling into administration.

The Manchester-based business, which also carried out roadside recovery services, was owned by the Leyland-based Leyland Holding Company and director Paul Kirkman.

Leyland Holding Co owns a number of auto-related businesses including Leyland Bus Parts and Gardner Parts. It is ultimately owned by Slough-based Bel Care.

Lila Thomas and David Acland of the insolvency group Begbies Traynor were apointed joint administrators on November 27.

They were not willing to discuss the case and no one could be reached for comment at Leyland, although Manchester Commercials’ closure was confirmed.
