HE Simm wins London residential contract

MECHANICAL electrical and plumbing contractor HE Simm has been awarded a £4.1m contract with Lend Lease on a major London regeneration project.

HE Simm will be providing mechanical, electrical and public health works on the Trafalgar Place apartments project at Elephant and Castle.

The eight residential blocks, which vary from three to 10 storeys, comprise of 235 apartments as part of the Elephant and Castle development, a £1.5bn scheme to transform the inner city area of London into a thriving residential, commercial and leisure hub.

HE Simm, which has a London office, has also committed to employing electricians, plumbers and engineers from the Southwark area – providing 19 jobs and work placements for local people.

Managing director Gareth Simm said: “This is fantastic news for the business and is the result of an enormous amount of hard work by the directors, senior management team and project designers and engineers.

“We have enjoyed strong growth across the South East over the past few years, working with a range of bluechip clients. The award of this contract is testament to our collaborative approach, high quality work and the ability to demonstrate a sustainable and reliable supply chain.”

HE Simm will provide a variety of services including power, lighting, domestic water services, drainage, ventilation and sprinklers.
