Sales growth continues for AMS

INTERNATIONAL woundcare specialist Advanced Medical Solutions said strong first half trading has continued.

In September the Cheshire company, which has its headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Winsford, said revenues to June rose 11% to £27.4m and profits rose by 33% to £6m.

Sales growth has continued into the second half, particularly from its ActivHeal, LiquiBand and RESORBA ranges, according to a pre-close trading update. The board expects to hit full-year targets.

The group has also repaid its term loan and will be debt free at the end of 2013.

Chairman, Dr Don Evans, said: “As previously advised, I will leave the board in two weeks time after 16 years at AMS and I would like to thank all the people who I have worked with during this time for their invaluable contributions to building the successful, multinational business that AMS now is. I am delighted that the group continues to make such good progress and I am confident that this will continue under the experienced guidance of my successor, Peter Allen.”
