Ex-Apprentice candidate Neil Clough launches sales consultancy

NEIL Clough, a defeated finalist on last year’s The Apprentice, has launched his own business – and a competition of his own.
Mr Clough has left his job as a regional manager of a soccer centres operator to launch NWC Consultancy, offering sales support and training.
To mark the launch of his business, he is offering £10,000 worth of sales support advice to another new start-up business.
Born in Warrington and now living in Hale, Greater Manchester, Mr Clough was a favourite of Lord Sugar and widely tipped to win the title and investment from the Amstrad tycoon.
However he was ‘fired’ in the finals after scrutiny of his property-focused business proposal left him known as “the right man, wrong plan.”
His sales success during The Apprentice sparked the idea for his own venture, and he is keen to share his expertise.
He said: ““The Apprentice has given me a big break. I’m grateful for that and I’m keen to give someone else a break by helping and supporting them in their business.
“Sales have always been my strong point but the Apprentice helped me to see that they should be the focus of my new business. I’ve had more than 15 years’ experience in a sales environment. I’m passionate about sales and NWC Consultancy is dedicated to helping businesses grow.”
The competition to win the session with him is open to any company less than three years old, based in the North West and with fewer than 10 employees.
The prize consists of a monthly sales and planning meeting with Neil, weekly telephone calls, access to NWC consultancy tools, marketing and PR support and on-going mentoring.
All applications to the NWC Consultancy .com website must be received before 28 February 2014. Applicants will be invited to present before a panel of experts at the end of April.
