LED Hut creates jobs as HQ moves to Middleton

AN online retailer of LED lights has moved its headquarters to the North West as it continues to grow.
LED Hut has created 16 jobs as a result of its move from Winchester to larger premises in Middleton, where it had quadrupled its warehouse capacity.
LED lighting last longer and is more energy efficient than traditional products, in some cases delivering savings of up to 90% on lighting bills.
Strong sales, driven by consumers switching to LEDs has driven LED Hut’s growth. Its new 26,000 sq ft base on the Stakehill Industrial Estate means it can hold more stock and make quicker deliveries. As a result of its recruitment drive it now employs 21 people.
Marketing director Keith Scott said: “In just three years, LED Hut has secured the dominant share of the UK online LED market and helped customers save around £3.5m on their lighting bills.
“As the business continues to go from strength to strength, this move is the next natural step towards continued expansion. With our marketing department already based in Manchester, moving our warehouse operations to this central location makes perfect sense, allowing us to provide an excellent delivery service to customers across the UK.
“We continue to focus on providing the ultimate online resource for LED lighting and expect to double our stock intake and staff hires over the next 12 months.”
