Appointments: Wainwright takes helm at Mitchell Charlesworth & more

ACCOUNTANCY firm Mitchell Charlesworth has appointed Paul Wainwright as managing partner in succession to David Darlington who is stepping down after more than 25 years in the role.

Mr Wainwright plans to focus on a number of key sectors including retail, medical, professional services, social housing, not-for-profit and manufacturing.

He said: “Under David’s leadership, the practice has made giant steps seeing consistent growth, launching new services and expanding into new markets. David passes on a formidable legacy.

FLETCHERS Solicitors, the Southport-based clinical negligence and serious injury legal practice, has boosted its ranks with the appointment  Nick O’Neill as senior solicitor.
 
Mr O’Neill  joins from Lees Solicitors, where he spent two years as head of accident and personal injury.

He said: My experience has led to me particularly enjoying client relationship management, which I feel is one of my core strengths and which fits with Fletchers’ ethos of putting the client first and helping them understand the processes they are going through when taking legal action.”

MANCHESTER agency CTI Digital has appointed James Wilkinson as  new head of marketing.

Mr Wilkinson, 26, joins the company after four years at Livelink New Media where he helped grow its marketing team from one employee to a team of six.  
 
His experience covers both B2B and consumer multi-channel marketing campaigns, including automated marketing and revenue generation campaigns for brands such as Manchester United Soccer Schools, Nike and Beaverbrooks.
 
He said: “I have big ambitions for CTI. I want to build a team that is able to help drive current customers’ revenues through relevant marketing, using multi-channel campaigns and a truly segmented approach.”

CHESHIRE highways maintenance and civil engineering contractor, JPCS, has strengthened its business development team with two new hires.

The newcomers are Richard Forde-Johnston and David French-Greenslade. Mr Forde-Johnston, who has successfully managed sales growth strategies for brands such as Vodafone and Telefonica, will be based in the North. Mr French-Greenslade, who will be based in the South, brings more than 20 years’ experience in business development, over 16 of which in the highways industry.

Jenny Neville, director at JPCS, said: “It’s great to be once again growing the JPCS team; we’re not only expanding in numbers but also in new areas across the North and South of the country.”

JPCS maintains highway and railway infrastructure across the UK and works with clients such as Balfour Beatty, the Highways Agency, British Gas and Carillion.

INTERNATIONAL management and construction consultancy, Gleeds has hired Tony Bostock as director of building surveying in its Manchester office.

Mr Bostock will oversee the firm’s building surveying activities across the region, including its offices in Warrington and Liverpool.

He has more than 20 years’ experience of commercial building surveying and has worked for Jones Lang LaSalle and CBRE.

Commenting on his new appointment, Tony said: “I look forward to continuing the strong relationships I have with clients in the North West and leveraging my sector experience to support Gleeds with its growth strategy as the economy continues to recover.”
