DJD hopes to score sports work with new appointment

PROPERTY consultancy Drivers Jonas Deloitte has appointed project manager Duncan Firth as a director of its Manchester office.

Firth, who joins from Buro Four Project Service, has developed an expertise in the development of sports projects, having previously worked on projects such as the City of Manchester Stadium, the Manchester Aquatics Centre and the Velodrome. He was also Stadium Operations Manager during the Commonwealth Games.

Drivers Jonas Deloitte said his appointment will help it towards its goal of doubling its project management and building consultancy team in the north of England in three years, leading to a cost consultancy team of around 20-25 people being based in Manchester. 

Commenting on the appointment, Peter Wilkinson, partner, and head of the PMBC team at Drivers Jonas Deloitte Manchester said: “There is room for significant growth in northern sport and leisure developments. Duncan’s range of expertise in the sector makes us ideally placed to develop this area of our business.”
