Holliday-Williams lands key Direct Line role

INSURANCE executive Mike Holliday-Williams has landed a plumb job with Direct Line Group.

Mr Holliday-Williams, who was brought up in Sale and was educated at St Ambrose College in Hale Barns, is moving from RSA Group, where he has been chief executive of its Scandinavian business, to become managing director of the UK personal lines divisions.

The role is a new one, and sees Direct Line bringing together its retail products, marketing and distribution functions into one organisation, delivering benefits to both customers and shareholders.

Mr Holliday-Williams will lead this process when he joins the business in May.Prior to working for RSA he has worked in the energy, telecoms and retail sectors,

Group chief executive Paul Geddes said: “I am delighted Mike has decided to join us. Headquartered in Bromley, Kent, Direct Line Group was spun-off from Royal Bank of Scotland last year and is now a listed company. Its insurance brands include Churchill and Privilege as well as Direct Line.”
