FT Finley moves to new Stockport HQ

BUILDING and maintenance company FT Finley will move to new headquarters in Stockport this month as part of plans to double its £10m turnover.

The company, which employs 90 staff, has refurbished and retrofitted the 15,100 sq ft premises, which were formerly occupied by a utilities company.

It has created more than 8,100 sq ft of office space in the building to accommodate its multiple departments, including reactive maintenance, refurbishment, planned works, new build and eco technologies and has improved the building’s sustainability credentials, with the installation of renewable energy systems as well as thermal insulation.

The building will also generate the majority of its own energy with a photovoltaic (PV) system linked to the government’s Feed in Tariff scheme, which offers revenue for those landlords operating small scale solar PV systems.

Managing director Steve Parrington said: “Our new premises are just the beginning of the significant investment we’ll be making in 2014 within our business, Stockport and the North West.

“We will be developing and expanding our offer over the next five years in order to service new markets and businesses within the region and beyond, allowing us to further increase the employment and training opportunities that we can offer our local communities.

“The dedication of our entire team means our plans to grow turnover by 100% will soon be a reality, and it is vital that these plans are realised in an environment which complements the team’s daily work.”
