Field management firm sees sales leap 26%

NORTH West business software company ServicePower Technologies, which specialises in workforce management of employees working on location, has reported a 26% surge in revenues and a swing back to profit.

The AIM-listed Stockport-based firm, which trades internationally, said it had gone “back to basics” in 2013 to rebuild its brand awareness.
Turnover in the year to December 31 was up 26% to £14m and the group posted a profit of £50,000, compared with a £11.6m loss the previous year.

ServicePower’s patented technology is used by organisations to enable them to become more efficient by improving field service workforce optimisation through project scheduling, route scheduling and mobile GPS tracking software.

Chief executive Marne Martin said of the results: “In 2013, we were extremely pleased to have such a positive resurgence of turnover growth and a recovery from the loss in 2012 to a small profit.

“With the renewed momentum in the company, 2014 has begun with stable trading, an interesting pipeline, and some exciting new clients and partnerships.”

Ms Martin, who took over as CEO in September 2013, said the prospects for the business are positive.

“Our growing, prestigious client base, including some of the best known brands in the world, is proof of our commitment to providing the best, most complete, and technologically advanced field management tool in the world. Trading in 2014 has begun positively, and we are confident of a successful outcome to the year.”
