Marisota goes from clicks to bricks

ANOTHER N Brown online brand is moving from the internet to the high street.

The Manchester-based retailer is launching a pop-up Marisota shop in Manchester’s New York Street. Marisota is part of N Brown’s JD Williams business.

It follows a permanent move to real shops for the group’s other brands, Jacamo and Simply Be.

JD Williams’ brand manager Simon Haughton said: “Pop-up shops provide a great opportunity for online retailers to test new markets, launch new products and to interact with their customer base on high streets across the UK.

“If you offer high street shoppers something new or different, they will come to investigate – they want to see what’s in it for them. Our business is online, not on the High Street but that doesn’t mean we can’t pop on to the high street to inform and interact with our customers for a few days.”

Marisota’s Manchester opening is part of a “retail tour” that will see it open at other temporary sites around the UK.
