TEG co-founder steps down

ONE of the founders of the AIM-listed green energy and composting business, the TEG Group, has stepped down from the main board where he was research and development director.

Alan Heyworth will stay on with the Preston-based business and is joining its operational board, with immediate effect.

Mr Heyworth, who co-founded the company in October 1995, has been involved in commercial composting since the late 1950s, initially through family and associated firms manufacturing peat-based composts and organic fertilisers.

Chief executive Mick Fishwick said: “All of us at TEG are very grateful to Alan for his enormous contribution to the company over many years. I will greatly miss his valuable support at main board level, but I am delighted that he is joining our operational board and that we can continue to benefit from his technical expertise and sage counsel.”
