Mediamix: The White Room; WRG; McCann

ANDY Lovatt, the founder of media training firm The White Room, has regained control of the business two years after a merger with Belfast’s Mediasmiths International.
In a statement the firm said it had formed “a new management team with a clear vision of where media technology training is heading in the digital era”.
The company will be based in Manchester and London.
Mr Lovatt said: “We have some great clients and together we are hoping to shape the future for training, learning and support across the media industry and beyond.”
Commercial director Kevin O’Meara said: “We have developed a range of products and services that are highly applicable to customers both within and external to the broadcast media market. We will, of course, continue to work closely with Mediasmiths, not just here in the UK but in the Nordics and Asia Pac as well.”

AD agency McCann Manchester has retained its creative and planning business with CrossCountry trains following a multi-way review.
The agency was originally appointed in 2009 as lead strategic and went on to secure the digital business in 2011.
The brief prior to the review has seen McCann develop fully integrated campaigns spanning TV, radio, press, outdoor, CRM and digital. CrossCountry is part of the Arriva group, which is owned by Deutsche Bahn.
McCann Manchester group director Marcus Hadfield said: “We’re thrilled to be re-appointed. We love working with CrossCountry, and we’re relishing the chance to build on work we’ve done together and take things even further.”
