Appointments: Hill Dickinson; Brabners; Forbes & more

LAW firm Hill Dickinson has boosted its employment and pensions team with several key hires.
Daniel Rubin and David Parry join the Liverpool-based national firm as employment partners from Ward Hadaway and will be based in the Manchester office on Fountain Street.
The firm has also appointed Mark Ridler as a legal director in its pensions team. Formerly a Partner with DWF, he will work across the firm’s offices in Manchester and Sheffield.

LANCASHIRE-based Forbes Solicitors has appointment of social housing heavyweight Lucy Worrall.
Formerly with Manchester-based Croftons, she joins Forbes as a partner and head of Housing and Regeneration (Property).
Stuart Penswick, head of housing at the Blackburn firm said: “I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Lucy to the team. She is going to play a central role in helping develop the service Forbes offers clients in the social housing sector.”

TONY Harper, a corporate partner at North West law firm Brabners, has been appointed as Secretary of Eurolegal, a network of 23 independent firms, including Brabners, which work together on cross-border deals.
The network has member firms from across Europe as well as the USA, Hong Kong and Japan.
Mr Harper said: “I am both delighted and honoured to become Secretary of Eurolegal. Eurolegal provides Brabners’ clients with easy access to trusted foreign lawyers who we know well and have worked with previously.”

JO Seed has recently joined Pinsent Mason’s litigation and compliance team as an associate based in the Manchester office.
A commercial litigator with experience in commercial fraud litigation and contentious sporting matters, a she joins from Peters & Peters Solicitors LLP in London and previously trained at Halliwells in Manchester.

ONE Marketing Communications, the Manchester-based media agency, has appointed Alex Hamilton as the firm’s social media manager.
He joins the growing PR team and will report to Sarah Lawless who has been promoted to head of PR and social.
