Shillaw to head MAG’s property division

FORMER Co-op Group and Lloyds Bank executive Lynda Shillaw is to head Manchester Airports Group’s property division.

Shillaw will oversee the group’s £571m property assets across four airports – Manchester, London Stansted, Bournemouth and East Midlands.

This will include the £800m Airport City scheme, a joint venture with the Beijing Construction and Engineering Group, Carillion and the Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF).

Shillaw joins from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership where she has been director of real estate since December 2012. Prior to that she was managing director of corporate real estate at Lloyds Bank, and from 2006 to 2010 she was managing director of Co-operative Estates.

MAG’s chief executive Charlie Cornish said: “As well as focusing on this project, a UK first, Lynda’s experience will also be a huge asset to our property aspirations across the entire group, including plans at London Stansted Airport which MAG acquired last year.”
