Appointments: Forbes lures Deloitte man as CEO & more

LANCASHIRE-based Forbes Solicitors has appointed Gavin Wright as chief executive amid a series of top-level changes.

Mr Wright joined the firm on May 1 from Deloitte where he was a director within its corporate advisory team sicne July 2010.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining Forbes, a firm which is known for its commitment to exceptional client service and putting the client first in all they do. Forbes has a very talented management team and I look forward to working with them, the wider partner group and all the staff to develop and enhance the firm further.”

Siobhan Hardy, who head the firm’s  Leeds office, will become the firm’s senior partner in succession to John Barker, and will work with current managing partner Winston Hood.

Forbes has three offices in Blackburn, two in Accrington, and also Preston, Chorley, Leeds and Manchester.

ASSET valuation and recovery specialist Winterhill Largo has appointed Martyn Hughes as chief financial officer.

Mr Hughes will have responsibility for overseeing the Blackburn and Manchester-based group’s financial management and corporate development activities.

He was a part of the original management team of CBG Group plc, the Manchester-based corporate insurer and financial services intermediary. He played a key role in the company’s preparation and execution of its IPO in 2003 and acted as group finance director until it was acquired by Giles Insurance Brokers in 2011.

Chief executive Neil Duckworth said: “Martyn’s is a welcome addition to our board. His experience will provide Winterhill with invaluable insight and direction as we continue to grow organically and strengthen our group offering through targeted acquisitions.”

MANCHESTER-based mmadigital, an online marketing agency specialising in the legal sector, has appointed Dan Walsh as head of project and account management.

Mr Walsh joins the agency from leadership and brand engagement firm Cirrus Connectand will report to mmadigital’s founder and chief executive Dez Derry.

He has 10 years’ experience of project managing multi-million pound marketing campaigns accounts for clients, including: RBS, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, 3, ASDA, Tesco and law firm, DWF.

CHESHIRE care provider SureCare has appointed Leah Winter as children’s services business development manager.

In her new role with the Chester company she will work with franchisees and branches to roll out a range of child-related services including nurseries, mobile crèches and babysitting.

Managing diector Gary Farrer said: “The care sector is changing rapidly and SureCare is pioneering in expanding the range of services it offers way beyond domiciliary care and into other areas such as childcare and home services.”
