MANCHESTER-based digital design firm magneticNorth has collaborated with BBC children’s channel CBBC to create an interactive experience for an event in Gateshead this weekend.

The CBBC Live event will use wristbands containing radio frequency identification technology, which will enable children to take part in an interactive quiz trail.

At each ‘station’ at the event, children will be able to check-in using their wristband. Once questions have been answered they will be rewarded with a special memento.

Adam Todd, creative director at magneticNorth said: “We’ve teamed up with CBBC to create a way to navigate the event

using technology visitors may be aware of but may not have seen in action. As well as providing children with a

memento of their day, the trail will also give them an insight into the potential of connected technology.”
