Rugby stars to launch Santander’s Warrington business centre

SANTANDER Santander Corporate and Commercial is opening its latest regional business centre today..
The launch of the Warrington Corporate Business Centre takes place a the Hallwell Jones Stadium and will welcome former Rugby League players
Paul Sculthorpe and Jimmy Gittins, who will talk about their business and charity challenges since retiring from the game.
The opening of the business centre, located at 18-20 Buttermarket Street, is part of Santander’s plan to grow its presence across the UK and its business book.
The bank, which already has corporate business centres in Preston, Liverpool and Chester, is targeting firms with turnover above £250,000. Products available include asset finance, invoice finance, deposits, treasury, merchant recruitment, cash management and supplier payments.
The Warrington team is led by Simon Carrier, regional director for Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales, and comprises newly-appointed relationship directors Julia Scott, Nick Slack and Jonathan Barnes, and relationship manager, Nick Abson.
Mr Carrier said: “We are committed to working with SMEs to help them achieve their ambitions and supporting companies which make up the backbone of the local economy.
“We already have some great business customers in the area, and we look forward to continuing to work with these businesses and helping new customers to grow and prosper too.”
The theme for the launch event is ‘Overcoming hurdles to achieve success’.
